"My name is Dan, and I’m a former Youth Worker at the Niagara Folk Arts Multicultural Centre, I’m also a pastor at a local church. My faith is the most important thing in my life. I love to be around people, and I try to be positive about every aspect of my life.

I have a beautiful wife, and recently became a father to an adorable, little girl. I graduated from Brock University with a degree in Sociology, and later completed my Masters of Theological Studies at Tyndale Seminary. My grandparents were raised in Bermuda, and came to Canada after they were married. We are very proud about our Portuguese heritage. My wife’s family came from Mexico to Canada. My favorite thing about her family is their amazing Mexican feasts which is my favorite type of food.

In my free time I enjoy exercising, playing Ping Pong, and having people over for food and laughs. I enjoyed working with the youth at the Multicultural Centre I can honestly say that they have changed many of my bad days into good days. The youth have shown me the power or resilience as they have faced numerous barriers, but seem to always be positive and encouraging, and looking to others interest rather than their own."
