Musa
Immigrating to a new country is never easy. Coming as a refugee is even harder.
Musa and his family were in one of the groups of Syrian refugees who arrived in Canada in 2016.
When you first meet Musa you will be greeted with a smile and a friendly “hello”. He will ask about you and your family and make sure all is well. He will then ask you if you want a coffee or tea and to please have a seat.
If this conversation is familiar, you have probably already been to Musa’s barbershop.
And if not, this is what you can expect. You’re home as soon as you walk in.
Musa is the owner of “Musa’s Final Touch”, a barbershop in St. Catharines, which he opened in July of 2018.
Musa’s story begins in January of 2016 in Port Colborne where he started the first 6 months of his life in Canada. He eventually moved to St. Catharines where he began working at a local barbershop for two years acquiring Canadian experience.
He became known for his unique and professional style of haircuts which led to his dream becoming a reality when he held the grand opening of his first business in Canada.
He feels proud when he says that he has the “best customers”. He says “they come from as far away as Toronto”. And as we were talking for this story, a customer shouted out that he came from Fort Erie just to get a haircut from Musa.
The message is clear, if you provide good service with a smile, customers will always come back.
Musa has employed 6 barbers now who cut hair for both men and women. And if you are looking for reviews, look no further than his perfect 5 star rating on Google.
Helping him through his journey, he wanted to recognize two individuals, Dalia and Hind, as he says “they did a lot for me”.
His barbershop is located at 300 Welland Avenue in St. Catharines.
