Yukiko
Yukiko arrived in Canada in 2013 from Tokyo, Japan.
Sugakichi 寿賀吉 is the name of her business and is the Japanese name for her family's traditional houddhddfgdse. All of the three Chinese characters meaning "Lucky.”
Each item (bags, wallets, and women clothing) are special and made by hand. The items are made mainly from the same silk that is used to make the traditional Japanese kimono.
She says: "When you have one of my creations, you can take pride in knowing that what you have is unique."
